Poor Robbie

So far this December I have taken over 200 pictures (just on my main camera - emergency camera is ? right now) And of those pictures - maybe 10 were of Robbie. But he is still cute - I promise!

We are still working on those potty skills. For nap time, we put Robbie in a diaper. This week, he was very upset about wearing a diaper and his pants for nap, but after a bit of resistance, he gave in....I thought. When I went to get him after nap I found him with no pants and his underwear on over his diaper - my silly little boy!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Nana and Pop-Z came for a visit. Robbie totally wore them out! Robbie also took them to visit some of his friends, namely:

Mickey Mouse

Handy Manny

Tigger and Pooh

The Little Einsteins

Donald, Minnie, Goofy - did I mention Mickey?

Robbie had a great time sharing his friends with his Nana and Pop-Z.

A good time was had by all!

October

We love October! Here are some photos to show you why!

We went to Wicked R Ranch with our super awesome friends, the Hobbs and Reese families. Robbie's favorite thing was the inflatable catapillar. He also really like the corn box.

Our annual trip to Elmer's was tons of fun (and photo-ops) - even with Charlie Brown!

Charlie is a great daddy. I am sure that by the time the kids are older he will also be a great pumpkin carver, until then, we have a great time!

Robbie was a tiger for Halloween. He had a great ROAR!!!

Sand, Cake and Spiders

We may very well have had our last day at the beach this week. :-( Robbie loves being at the beach. He loves the waves, the sand, the animals (he can chase a seagull all day long). We feel blessed that we eeked out one more warm day when we were both home - now if only we could have one more.

We bought a cake pan that creates cakelettes in the shape of train cars. Robbie can not get enough of it! The other day, I used M&Ms for the wheels and Robbie thought I had hung the moon. We look forward to more train cake, train muffins, train cornbread, etc.

This picture has no real story. Robbie was just enthralled by the spider webs in the bushes in front of our house. I am just enthralled by him.

What Has Robbie Been Up To?

Oh so very many things!

Of course, we have been to the beach. Robbie likes to ride the waves close to the shore in and out. He also loves to dig in the sand.

We have been doing science experiments. Robbie's current favorite subject is volcanoes. Here is a picture of him making a volcano with soap suds.

Robbie has been laying down the charm with the ladies (just like his daddy). Here is a picture of Brenna playing with Robbie in his bed.

We have been having trouble getting Robbie to nap. He does usually - eventually - fall asleep, but we are never completely sure where he will end up. The picture below, he did on his own. We store books in this compartment in his dresser. He took them all out and cuddled in for a nice snooze.

Of course, Robbie still loves his sister.

Maybe a little too much!

If you have enjoyed these pictures - you have Stefanie to thank. I hate disappointing her!

Rock Star

Today on a very special Blue's Clues, Robbie learned how to recycle and to make a guitar from recyclable materials. This will be the beginning of his Behind the Music documentary!

4th of July Weekend

Robbie had a great 4th of July! It started out by going to the Eagle's Nest pool with mommy and Evie. This was the first time of the season that we went to the pool. We stayed in the kiddie pool and Robbie loved having a pool just his size.

The next activity of the weekend was a trip to Funland with Jack, SueSue, Stef and Laura. Robbie had a blast!

Jack and Robbie had some bonding time on the boardwalk.

Robbie talked about the helicopters with Stef for, well, he still is!

You can see the fear in Susan's eyes!

Laura and Robbie on the carousel.

Robbie loved shooting water at the pirate ship. Please note the product placement.

The next item on the docket was an overnight trip to the Riddles. After a day at the pool, Mommy, Daddy and Evie went back home and Robbie stayed behind to watch the fireworks. He got to see a couple before the rain came.

All in all a good 4th!

Smarter Than Us

Robbie is very smart. He has an uncanny ability to figure out a way to overcome many different obstacles. The unfortunate part about that ability is that most of those obstacles are put into place by us, his less smart parents, to try to do things like, uhm, get him to sleep. He used to have a step stool in his room to get into his bed - that came out when he used it to turn on his lights at night. To get him to nap when he wouldn't in his bed, we would put him in his tent - he has figured out how to escape.

A few weeks ago, we won a TV. This meant that we had an extra TV to put in his room. This was nice because it had a sleep timer and would turn itself off after awhile. We placed the TV on his high dresser, so there was no way he would be able to reach the TV to turn it back on - remember, no step stool in his room anymore. He found a way.

Yep, that is a basket for his toys that he dumped out and turned upside down (that is now out of his room too).

He may be smarter than us, but he will always be our baby boy (until he figures a way out of that).

Refresh!

Robbie enjoyed playing in the sprinkler. He couldn't quite decide whether it was a water fall or a shower - either way, it was fun!
