Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Pete is a cat. Pete is the arch-nemesis of Mickey, Donald and Goofy. But, I will say this - he is not a bad person, he just makes bad choices. Usually, in the end, he does what is right. Clearly, Pete just wants to be loved, is that so wrong? Anyway, I have had a lot of inquiries about Robbie's fave character Pete and here he is. This is him in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Easter special. He is dressed like Mickey (because he didn't think he was invited to the Easter party - see - he just wants to be loved) so that he can take over the clubhouse. Unfortunately, he doesn't know the magic words, so the clubhouse runs and hides - in many different locations - and Mickey must save the day.

On a non-Pete related topic, this morning, while mommy was getting ready/folding clothes/cooking breakfast, Robbie was watching "TiggerPooh". The current generation of this show has Tigger, Pooh, Darby and Buster (her dog) as sleuths who solve mysteries by think, think, thinking. It usually takes awhile for the sleuths to solve the problem (about 15 minutes which is the length of an episode). Anyway, the solution to this puzzle was obvious to Robbie, who, upon seeing the mystery, turned to me and said, "Tigger Bounce" - which duh was the answer, but we still had a good ten minutes to go until everyone arrived at Robbie's clear conclusion. Robbie kept telling them "Tigger Bounce" and eventually they heard my child's suggestion, because Tigger did indeed bounce. Basically - my child is better at problem solving than the super-sleuths! Columbo had better watch out!

No Paci - No Problem!

Go ahead daddy, take away my paci. I will find a way to survive!

On a side note - Robbie loves Pete from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (among other Disney things). He is such a random character that they have no merchandise for him. It is making us crazy that there is something out there that Robbie wants and we can't get it for him. I have a bid on Ebay for a random old version of Pete plastic character (1 of only 2 types of Pete merchandise ever made - with the exception of pins) I have already sent an email to Disney suggesting that they make some Pete merchandise. I'll hold my breath.

And We're Back!

OK - it was a really rough couple of weeks, but it is over now. The Brown household has it's camera back, plus one to spare! You see, very soon we will have two children to over-document. What would we do if Robbie was in one room being incredibly cute, while Evie was in another room also being incredibly cute? How would we simultaneously document them with only one camera? I did some work on a time machine, so that I could travel through time with my camera and recapture the moments, but well, Eloise didn't make it, so I decided to scrap that plan (for those of you who don't watch "Lost" - just know that was a very clever comment)

So I got a sweet deal on a little Sony with 7.6 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. Sure, it does not have the zoom of the main Sony, but it will do.

Anyway, see for yourself -

See - the island looks very similar through either camera. What? You didn't come to the blog to see Sodor? Well, let's get onto the good stuff then!

Robbie decided today that Mickey is his baby. IN the above picture, he is putting a diaper on Mickey. I guess that he is really getting into the baby spirit!
