He's a Traveling Man

Still working with Classic Robbie photos as the cutest child ever continues to live with his life being undocumented - anywho -

Did I ever tell you - oh faceless internet, what a wonderful traveller my son is? One of the things that we were dreading the most about our long trip to TN, was, uhm, the long trip. Twelve hours in a car looked like a giant looming monster which would only bring gloom and doom to the parents of the world's most adorable boy. Well, we were wrong. Robbie was in great spirits the whole trip down and back. Below you will see pretty much what he looked like the whole time - please note his cute little paci on the head trick!

Ev's TV

So I was looking at the picture in the previous post and I was thinking about the good ol days - when Robbie was a tiny baby and we could watch whatever we wanted (I could not help but notice that we were watching the Today Show on this particular occasion). We were blessed by having the winter Olympics around when Robbie was born. The wee hours of the morning were spent watching curling and caring - no really - we are now mad curling fans.

Anyway, the whole thing made me think about what little Ev's first TV experience will be like. Since we really have no true power over what is on television in our house, you have to assume that infant Ev's life will be filled with Thomas, Mouse and Tigger and Pooh. Kinda makes you wish for curling sometimes (actually, truth be told, we really like the Thomas episodes)

Camera Update - the LCD may or may not be covered by our policy, we will know in about a week. Either way, it will take 2-3 weeks to get our camera back, so this will be the greatest photographic lull in Robbie's life. I hope that we will survive. I am serious. I really am having major withdrawal - you should see how cute Robbie was today. In the mean time, I will be posting pictures from our trip to Tennessee - as I did not post any because I was too far behind.

We will begin with pictures of Robbie getting his first haircut. My Aunt Martha gave him his first haircut in the bathtub in the cabin we stayed in. Aunt Martha also gave me my first haircut.

Tragedy!

The LCD on my camera is broken! Tragedy has befallen our household. Luckily, we bought the 4 year protection plan - so tomorrow we trek off to Best Buy to see if the plan will cover the LCD. So until further notice - only classic Robbie shots will be available. This one lives exclusively on Charlie's computer so it has not been made into any DVD or calendar production of Robbie-ness. In other words, it is exclusive to this blog!

Robbie was almost 5 months old when this photo was taken.

Tall Enough to Pitch

So now that Robbie is 2, we can officially look at his height and weight and see how tall the little guy will eventually be. He weighs 29 lbs and he is 35" tall. This all combines to mean that he will be (drum roll please) 5'10.7". So in other words he will be taller than his daddy. Charlie has already discussed the kind of woman that RObbie should marry some day in order to sire a son over 6' tall. He says that it takes 3 generations to cure the curse of shortness - uhm, OK. Anyway, enjoy some Robbie pics!

Robbie loves Chuck E Cheese! How can you beat pizza and rides?

Robbie is a great help around the house. One day, while I was folding laundry - Daddy's Mario underwear caught Robbie's eye. He just had to wear "Daddy's Mario"

Robbie birthday is not quite over yet! We went to the Riddle's for dinner and Stef and Joe gave Robbie a golf set. Jack had to help Robbie perfect his form!

What is it that a 2 year old does with his time?

Well, in Robbie's case - he drives Mommy's car (btw - he buckled himself in without prompting - safety first)

And then of course there is the fun with bubbles (thanks Laura!)

Robbie is Two!!!!

Our little baby has become a little man! Robbie turned two yesterday. Nana and Pop-Z, Jack and Sue-Sue were here this weekend to experience the ugliest cake ever. Robbie blew out both candles - by himself.

Yesterday, Robbie voted and then we went to his favorite play place. He then got to ride the bull at WalMart - what a Sussex County birthday!

By the way, Robbie can count to 10. And, if you are keeping track, you are not expected to do that until you are 5 years old. Yep, he's a genius.
